Adult Children of Narcissists Group
Adult Children of Narcissists – Women’s Process Group
This group provides a space for adult children of narcissists to recover from narcissistic abuse, rebuild self-esteem, and find support from peers through productive feedback in a safe environment. Children of narcissists have experienced a love that is conditional, and it takes time and intentionality to deconstruct these messages to learn healthy self-love and live authentically. “When self-love depends on externals, on other’s opinions of what you are and do, the self is betrayed” (Elan Golomb, PhD). Being raised in a home with a narcissist can give rise to feelings of not being good enough, self-doubt, and imposter’s syndrome. As a result, this can lead to unhealthy relationships, issues with boundaries, people pleasing, codependency, vulnerability for depression, and guilt. Come heal, overcome, and break the cycle in this closed, all women’s process group for Adult Children of Narcissists.
Madison will be leading this group beginning January 2019. We will meet weekly in the evening for an hour and half in a closed group of 6-8 female members. Day and time are to be determined. A three-month commitment to the group is required, and a minimum of six months is recommended.
For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are interested in beginning individual counseling before the group begins, please reach out to Madison.
